Environmental Policy

Purpose and scope 

The purpose and context of the organization, as well as the environmental conditions under which the organization operates, the management of MVC is committed to continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with the obligations to be met by observing the principles and requirements of ISO 14001:2015. 

This policy is applicable to every MVC employee. This policy also applies to all third parties acting on behalf of MVC. We also require our suppliers, sub-contractors, and external partners to comply with similar / appropiate principles. MVC may also operate in countries where there are more stringent environment laws or regulations in place. In such cases, the provisions of the locally applicable laws will override the principles 
set out in this policy. 

The framework for setting environmental goals is defined in the Environmental Manual. 
 
Roles and responsibilities 

Our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, means that every MVC  employee should keep in mind the wellbeing of the environment and choose environmentally friendly options.  

All employees are responsible for complying with applicable legislation, code of conduct, this policy, as well as any other applicable MVC policies, guidelines, management systems and instructions given from time to time depending on their roles. 

The quality manager is responsible for communicating the environmental policy and making it publicly available to all people who work for the organization or on behalf of the organization. 
 
Management responsibilities   

Managers are responsible for ensuring that their teams and functions are compliant with this policy and for monitoring this. These managers are furthermore themselves expected to set a good example. 

All MVC employees act to protect the environment by preventing and eliminating environmental pollution through the following behavior: 

• Continuous training to prevent environmental pollution, conserve natural resources and improve the EMS. 
• A continued increase in environmental awareness. 
• Exploring new materials with a lower environmental footprint and improving hazardous waste. 
• Reducing the consumption of non-renewable energy and replacing it with renewable energy 
sources. (eg company cars) 
• Through activities that arise from the organizational context. 
• Adhering to environmental practices to reduce pollution and avoid destruction and damage to the 
environment. 
• Reducing adverse impacts on water, soil, air and biodiversity.
